Our Organization:
The Center for Independent Living – Sofia (CIL) is a Bulgarian non governmental, non profit organisation of disabled people. CIL has been working for a change in the governmental policy in the area of disabilities since 1995 by actively promoting the values of Independent Living and the application of the Social Model of disabilities.

Our Mission:
We provide disabled people with the support they need to achieve independent and complete human living.

Our Vision:
We dream for a world, in which disabled people will have the opportunities to choose and to live an independent, quality and dignified life.

DISABILITY RIGHTS WORKSHOP

The Center for Independent Living starts a new project, which will be implemented in partnership with the Department of Sociology of the Sofia University and is funded by the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe. The project will involve university students in various activities aimed at the promotion of the social model of disability.
